Cologne Bonn Airport to Düsseldorf Transfer
56 km to Düsseldorf. Around 55 min when traffic on the A3 and A46 runs freely, and a good deal longer when a lorry has folded itself across two lanes at the wrong junction, which happens often enough that we build it into the schedule and never into the price. The fare stays €218.

The car is booked against your flight number, which makes the schedule our problem. Land early and it is there. Land two hours late and it is still there, at the same price, because we have been watching the aircraft since it left. Meet and greet happens inside, beyond customs, at whichever terminal you come through. For the return out of Düsseldorf we set the pickup from your gate-closing time and move it if the traffic says so.
The same Cologne Bonn Airport transfers run to neighbouring Altstadt, Düsseldorf for €218 and Carlstadt, Düsseldorf for €218. Both fares are fixed.
Included in every fare
- Flight tracked from departure
- 90 minutes of free waiting after landing
- Meet and greet past customs, luggage carried
- Tolls, parking and VAT. No night or weekend surcharge
Getting there another way
There is a direct train, and on a short run it will cost you less than we do. The station is Köln/Bonn Flughafen, and S19, RE6 and RB27 all call there, roughly every 20 minutes through the day. Take it if you have one bag and no appointment. Take us at €218 if there are three of you, if the cases will not fit through a turnstile, or if the aircraft is due at 05:40.
A taxi from Cologne Bonn Airport to Düsseldorf runs on the Cologne meter, and inside the Cologne taxi area that tariff is binding. Roughly €165 to €225, by our estimate. An app will also get you to Düsseldorf. It will quote a price that changes between the moment you check it and the moment you land, and it will not know your flight is ninety minutes late. That is the trade. We quote €218 once, and the 90 free minutes after touchdown are already inside it.
Station names, lines and frequencies come from each airport's own travel pages and from the published service table for its station. We quote no ticket prices, because we could not verify current ones.

Questions
- How much is a transfer from Cologne Bonn Airport to Düsseldorf?
- Business Class is €218 and that is the whole figure. Tolls, parking, VAT and 90 minutes of waiting sit inside it. If you want the electric car, Electric Class is €218, the First Class saloon €380, and the Business Van, which seats six, €238. No per-person pricing. No luggage supplement.
- How many passengers and bags fit in each class?
- Business Class (a 2026 Mercedes-Benz E-Class), Electric Class (a 2026 Mercedes-Benz EQS) and First Class (a 2026 Mercedes-Benz S-Class) each take up to three passengers, with room for 2 large cases and 2 carry-on. The Business Van takes more. A 2026 Mercedes-Benz V-Class, it seats up to six with 6 large cases and 6 carry-on, and costs €238 to Düsseldorf. Skis or a pushchair? Mention them when you book.
- How long does it take from Cologne Bonn Airport to Düsseldorf?
- The drive takes about 55 min in normal traffic, over roughly 56 km, which is 35 miles. For the outbound leg we work backwards from your gate-closing time and look at the road that morning and set the pickup from what it tells us.
- Where exactly does the driver meet me at Cologne Bonn Airport?
- The meeting point is past customs. Your driver stands there with your name on a board, at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, and goes by your flight number to know which one. Luggage is carried to the car, and the drive to Düsseldorf starts from there.
- Is there a train from Cologne Bonn Airport to Düsseldorf?
- A direct train runs from Köln/Bonn Flughafen to Düsseldorf: S19, RE6 and RB27, roughly every 20 minutes during the day. It costs less than we do. It also involves a platform, your own luggage, and a walk at the other end.
- What happens if my flight is delayed?
- The price does not move when a flight is late. We watch the flight from the moment it leaves its origin airport and move the pickup with it, which means a two-hour delay costs you nothing at all, because the 90 minutes of waiting after landing were inside the €218 before any of it happened. Diverted to another city? Then we talk to you and work it out. No no-show fee for an aircraft that went somewhere else.
- Can I cancel or change the booking?
- Cancelling is free up to 6 hours before pickup. Bookings that hold a car for a whole day, which means hourly hire, full days, weddings and events, need 24 hours instead, because by that point the driver's day belongs to you and nobody else can be given it. Changes are a different thing. A new flight number, a new time, a new address: free, at any point, and usually what people actually needed.
- How do I pay?
- You can pay the driver in cash or by card, and the booking page shows any other option open to your booking. Company accounts get one monthly invoice with the VAT stated and every journey tagged to a cost centre, which is the version finance departments ask for. Passengers on an account never touch a payment at all.
- Can you take a wheelchair, a child seat or a pet to Düsseldorf?
- Child and booster seats are free. Tell us the ages when you book. A folding wheelchair travels in any class, and where a passenger needs room to transfer across and not a saloon door to negotiate, the six-seat Business Van is the sensible choice and costs no more than asking for it. We do not run a ramp-equipped vehicle as standard. Ask, and you get a straight answer about whether we cover it ourselves or arrange it. Assistance dogs always travel. Other animals travel too. Tell us what, and how big.
- How far ahead should I book?
- Booking 12 hours ahead is comfortable. That gets you the class you asked for, not whatever happens to be free. Shorter notice is often fine, so ask before assuming. The exception is a disruption, when a cancelled bank of flights puts several hundred people on the same phones inside the same twenty minutes, and how far ahead you booked becomes the only thing separating a car from a queue.
